Thanks we have enough “guides” that profit off of our back country. Good riddance

Sure we will make sure to keep it open for climbers. The locals that support it will make sure it’s open for you. Do you want tea and snacks in your chartered helicopter. Not a thanks for the effort put forth by our local search and rescue volunteers but a list of demands. Wow. I think you should take a hike if our resources are that unsatisfactory. People around here work their butts off to support rescue efforts at a cost to the taxpayers. Not the free floating climbers that dont support the area at all except for a few stores. It might be safest if you stayed away the way you think of the area Charlotte

From a long time international Alpinist:
I hope that Southern Inyo hospital can be dedicated to offer 24 hr Emergency room service esp trauma, because of its proximity to the high Sierra climbing areas. Any delay in transporting injured patients to NIH is unacceptable. Primary care and stabilization should be done at closest location. SIH needs 24 hr staffing. Helicopter rescue services is essential, not just fixed wing from KBIH! Please convey to public meeting comments
