I volunteered during this festival and was so impressed by how much fun it was and how appreciative everyone was of the opportunity to be at a music festival again, and by how cooperative everyone was with the safety rules. It was an awesome success!!!

Everyone should be double-masking and have to provide proof of vaccination to attend!

If the photo of the opening Met gala tells one anything it is this. No masks for the attendees of the 30,000 dollar ticket event. Only waitstaff have to be masked. Without the comment section Sierra Wave loses its touch with the community.

In two weeks they won’t have to worry about us peasants commenting on their biased articles. They will have total control of the narrative, as designed.

If your going to the festival, go along with the rules and don’t whine, it is only for a few days. We’re outside in the best place on earth to be so make a pleasant time of it. Thanks, be safe, healthy and don’t play with matches.

Well, assuming you actually want an answer:
1) the Arts Council doesn’t have the resources to verify everyone’s Vax status as they enter
2) vaccinated folks can still acquire and transmit the virus even though they are lass likely to die from it than they would have otherwise.
3) most of us got Vaxed months ago and have unknown attenuation of our immunity.
So maybe just do your share to stop the spread.
It’s not that hard.

Not sure how following public health requirements equates with genocide, so yes, shut up and do the right thing. Masks and vaccinations are not a Holocaust equivalent.

I wouldn’t believe much of what government says. They told us for years how much “progress” we were making in Afghanistan, and Biden, Fauci, and Pelosi all within the last few months told us there would be no vaccine mandates.

Not that it isn’t useful to listen to the charlatans, just regard whatever they say as a reliable contrary indicator.

Thank you Arts Council for creating a local festival to celebrate world music ! And thank you many times over for all the planning and precautions it must have taken to do so in the midst of an ongoing pandemic. Looking forward to this event.

Tourbillion….And I’m sure trump would’ve handled the situation in Afghanistan a whole lot better…..right ?…Wasn’t he also in favor of returning our troops from there ASAP ?
Or was that just ANOTHER one of his lies, hoping for November 2020 votes ?

Supervisor, I don’t know who you supervise, but be advised , it isn’t the Millpond music Festival. Be aware that for some reason this local non-profit didn’t even raise ticket prices for the festival this year, despite losing goodness knows how much revenue from having to cancel last years festival.
Pretty much every major music festival in the country cancelled 2021. Ours didn’t! Wow! Be grateful instead of obnoxious.! Give them a hand AND your full cooperation, or stay away!

With respect a reasonable question Supe. I guess you got the jab(s) for the same reason we all did . Primarily it was to protect ourselves from a serious covid infection illness and the possibility of dearth. Back in Feb March when many of us got the Pfizer at the fairgrounds they did not know if the jabs would stop the asymptomatic spread of vaxed people. By July the Delta variant began to prove it was highly infectious and there were break through infections of people fully vax and of course serious covid illness, hospitalizations and death for folks who remained unvaxed. The most disturbing news lately is the huge increase of infections in kids. Along with the kids under 12 not being able to be vaxed are immune deficient folks unable to be vaxed for medical reasons. I wear the mask in public places for those people and the kids. I wear the mask with the hope that we can crush covid before a new variant comes along that resists the vaccine. I’m glad to hear of a folks who have been vaxed . In Inyo County most of us older inhabitants have gotten the jab(s). For myself I like to think there is a correlation between the number of days, the number of experiences and some take away wisdom of these many years. After all getting into your 70’s, 80’s, 90’s just doesn’t happen without lucky and wise choices. Looks like this comment are going to disappear come October. Looks like a shameful sad decision has been made to end the Wave as Bennett intended. Very sad indeed
