We know everyone is looking forward to enjoying their favorite recreation spots, but please check updates as the places you hoped to visit may not be accessible this year. We anticipate high flows in various waterways and locations throughout Inyo County and ask folks to please respect all warning signs advising the public of unsafe conditions.
As of April 6, 2023, the following closures and restrictions are in place
OWENS RIVER GORGE AREA
Middle and Upper Gorge – open starting April 7
Control Gorge – closed to pedestrian and vehicle access
PLEASANT VALLEY RESERVOIR
Closed to pedestrian access
ROAD CLOSURES
Pleasant Valley Control Gorge Patrol Road – closed to pedestrian and vehicle access
(South of “T” on Gorge Road to the intersection of Pleasant Valley Patrol Road and Chalk Bluff Road)
SAD/HAPPY BOULDER AREA
No parking allowed on LADWP land in the area due to ongoing construction
Foot traffic is allowed on LADWP land to access the boulders
