Volunteers Needed!
An organized search is currently in progress in the Goler Wash
Area until March 15, 2024.
If you would like to help:
- Bring your own food and plenty of water. If you plan to stay overnight, bring camping equipment.
- On arrival, meet with the Base Camp Director.
- Searches typically start around 9:00 am.

Directions to the Base Camp:
Drive to the Ballarat Ghost Town located off of the Trona Wildrose Road.Turn right at the Ballarat Store and take the Wingate Road 15 miles south along the base of the Panamint Mountains until you see cars and campers parked on the right side of the road. Wingate Road is maintained, and any two wheel drive vehicle with reasonable clearance will have no problems

Not a good place to get lost…. I’ve been to Charlie Manson’s Barker Ranch twice and just seems a bad place you wouldn’t want to get lost in or disorientated.
