Mule Deer Crossing

Mule deer, or muleys, are an iconic species in the Western US. Perhaps you have seen them take bounding, stiff-legged hops through the sagebrush, or noticed their large, mule-like ears. The Mule Deer Migration Corridor Field Trip was postponed last week due to weather, and you can still RSVP for the new date! This free, family-friendly event will be held from 2-4 pm on March 26. Human-Wildlife Conflict Scientist Dan Taylor, from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, will lead us on an educational tour of the Round Valley mule deer herd’s winter range, and we will hopefully be able to observe some deer.  Please visit www.eslt.org/events for more details and RSVP to Claire at [email protected] for the meeting location and to reserve a spot.
