Synopsis – MON JUN 15 2026

After a few high based t-storms Sunday, brought to you by a Canadian trough to our North, that system exits the region. It will be replaced by a Pacific ridge Tuesday, which will build Eastward over the Great Basin this week. This action will bring dry and increasingly hot conditions in the Owens Valley, at some 10° above normal. Key message this week is widespread triple digit or near triple digit heat in the Owens Valley. This will lead to Moderate Heat Risk. Slightly lower temps are possible at the end of this week, as low pressure moves over the PACNW, weakening the persistent ridge just a bit…MATT
