Apparently someone thought it would be hilarious to destroy fixtures inside the City Park restroom. As you can see in the photo, the end result wasn’t comedy—it was thousands of dollars in damage that our community now gets to pay for.
Breaking park facilities might seem funny for about five minutes, but the reality is it just makes you look foolish and disrespects the hardworking park staff who spend their time keeping this place clean and usable for everyone else.
Our park is something this community takes pride in. Families, kids, and residents use it every day. Turning it into your personal demolition project isn’t impressive—it’s just vandalism.
To the individuals responsible: if you’re feeling proud of this accomplishment, you’re welcome to come down to the Police Department and explain why you thought damaging taxpayer property was such a great idea. We’d honestly love to hear the reasoning.
For everyone else, if you happen to know who decided the park restroom needed a “remodel,” please let us know. Tips can help us move forward with holding the responsible parties accountable. If so call 760-873-5866 or email [email protected]
One way or another, we’ll sort it out. We usually do.
