Bishop Police Department press release
On Monday, September 19, 2016, at approximately 9:45 A.M., the Bishop Police Department received a call requesting assistance to the Denny’s Restaurant for a male and female couple refusing to pay their bill and arguing with staff.
The primary officer soon met with the male suspect and learned the female had driven away moments earlier. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle the two suspects were using had been stolen out of Texas. The male suspect resisted the detention but was soon taken into custody.
Assisting officers canvassed for the stolen vehicle and the female suspect. She and the stolen vehicle were soon located.
As a result of this investigation, Joseph Daniel Laskach, age 29, and Jessica Ann Taylor, age 28, both of Illinois, were taken into custody and booked on felony counts: 10851(a) VC Vehicle Theft and 182(A)(1) PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime.

Trouble…..and on their way back to Illinois.
Can’t blame them for not wanting to pay for Dennis food!! Lol
They are probally out on bail already.
Right about now I bet they’re wishing they would have just paid their bill and rolled on down the road in their stolen vehicle…or maybe not, maybe they’re really that stupid.
Drugs will end you kids, stay away from them if you love your freedom.
Rick….Doesn’t it seem that way ?…..I can remember a story a while back about a guy with warrants and transporting meth in a vehicle with expired registration ….high on dope and speeding down Sherwin Grade at 90 MPH…..but can’t remember if the car was a stolen vehicle or not…I kinda had my own experience a few years ago with a dumb criminal at the job I had in Oregon….his vehicle broke down next door at the 7/11 store….came into the store where I worked with his girlfriend waiting on his friend with a tow-chain,telling me of his disabled car…and he promptly stole 2 video tapes, running out the front door and leaving his girlfriend behind….I called the cops, his girlfriend waited in the store….cops came,he was waiting in his car next door….not only did they bust him for stealing the tapes, but they found dope in his car, they both were high, and they both had warrants…and got him on a DUI since he’d driven to the 7/11….must’ve been a tape he really wanted where I was working.
Another fine example of the complexity of the criminal mind…make a big stink and draw attention to yourself while driving an out of state stolen car.
That will teach them to leave a better tip in Bishop!
