A trial date has been set in the attempted murder case against a Shoshone man who allegedly drove a car through the wall of his landlords home

According to Sheriff officials, on Sunday, May 10th at 6:00 pm, 59 year old David Eddy was arrested after he is alleged to have intentionally driven a Dodge Magnum into the home of his landlords at the Shoshone Trailer Park. Eddy reportedly was upset after he received an eviction notice earlier in the day.

Eddy allegedly got behind the wheel of a 2005 Dodge Magnum and drove head on into the home of well known Southern Inyo residents Susan Sorrells and Robert Haines. After the crash, Eddy reportedly got out of his car holding a knife and again allegedly threatened to kill the victims.

Inyo Sheriff officials reported that Haines had the knife-wielding Eddy at gun point when officers arrived on scene. Despite the potential, no one was seriously injured in the incident.

Inyo District Attorney Art Maillet charged Eddy with two counts of attempted murder, two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two felony counts of criminal threats, one count of felony vandalism, and two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence.

The trial date has been set for February 22nd.
