“500 and Rising – Celebrating Sierra Bighorn,” commemorating the growth of Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep to 500 animals as well as the completion of the first Highway 395 bighorn Migrating Mural by artist Jane Kim, will be held Saturday February 16, 2013 at Mountain Light Gallery, 106 S Main St., Bishop, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
The night of bighorn art, education, culture and history will be followed by a bighorn spotting field trip, Sunday, February 17, 2012. Advance purchase tickets are $25 or $30 at the door and available from Sage to Summit, 312 N. Main St., Bishop, www.sagetosummit.com or www.sierrabighorn.org.
