Stephen was born in New York & grew up in Yonkers, he attended Roosevelt high school going onto Rochester Institute of technology.

Stephen was drafted into the army in 1964 & served in Vietnam until October of 1969, after being honorably discharged from the army he moved to California & worked for Zellerbach paper Company For many years. Living in Reseda he met Charlotte & became a loving father to her 3 children, Kathleen, James & Jean luc.

Stephen was proceeded in death by his parents Milton & Beatrice schneider & son James. He is survived by daughter & son in law, Kathleen & Thomas Jackson of Bishop, California & son Jean luc Ruse of Alabama, services will be held at a later date
