Caltrans mudslide

 

UPDATE:

BISHOP – State Route 190 has reopened over Towne Pass in Death Valley National Park. The highway was closed earlier this afternoon due to a small mudslide. Maintenance crews were able to clear the pavement, reopening the road to vehicle traffic.

BISHOP – State Route 190 is closed at Towne Pass in Death Valley National Park due to a mudslide on the highway. Vehicles traveling between U.S. 395 in Olancha and Death Valley Junction should use State Route 58 in eastern Kern County and I-15 in San Bernardino County as a detour. Caltrans will post updates on this closure to its social media channels on Twitter and Facebook.
