UPDATE:
BISHOP – State Route 190 has reopened over Towne Pass in Death Valley National Park. The highway was closed earlier this afternoon due to a small mudslide. Maintenance crews were able to clear the pavement, reopening the road to vehicle traffic.

Vehicles traveling between U.S. 395 in Olancha and Death Valley Junction should use State Route 58 in eastern Kern County and I-15 in San Bernardino County as a detour.
