State of the Inyo: Flooding still an issue

Inyo National Forest press release

Several campgrounds and roads are closed for flooding including Moraine, Big Bend, and part of Lower Lee Vining Campground in the Lee Vining Canyon. North Lake Road (and therefore North Lake Campground) is closed for flooding and Goodale Campground (BLM) remains closed for flooding.

The Rock Creek Road and Mosquito Flat Backpacker Campground is open.

We know that people are looking for places to camp. If you are receiving questions about why several campgrounds have yet to open, please understand that many campgrounds that are still closed are under water or under snow. We are expecting substantial melt-off to continue in the next few days. Please be safe and be prepared that conditions listed below may change.
