Park Service Rangers have geared up to search for a missing hiker in Yosemite. Park spokesperson Adrienne Freeman reports that staff started searching Monday morning for 22 year old Ssmyn Garmendia Barrios, a native of Honduras.

Barrios is described as 58 tall, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and black shoes. The subject speaks Spanish and broken English.

About 100 searchers from Yosemite National Park and Mono, Tuolumne, Marin, Santa Clara, and Sierra Madre Counties, including dog teams and aerial spotters, are currently involved in the search effort

If you were hiking near Glacier Point, Sentinel Dome, or Washburn Point on Sunday, National Park Service Rangers could use your help. Even if you did not see Mr. Barrios on your hike in those areas on Sunday, the information could help investigators narrow the search area.

Anyone who was hiking in the area of Glacier Point, Sentinel Dome, Washburn Point, or the Illilouette, Panorama, or Pohono Trails above Yosemite Valley is asked to call the Park Investigators at 209 372-0311.
