** NEWS RELEASE ** MAMMOTH LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT PROMOTES NEW SERGEANT
On June 10, Mammoth Lakes Police Chief Dan Watson promoted Officer Rick Moberly to the rank of Sergeant to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Sergeant Paul Robles in December. Sergeant Moberly has been assigned as a patrol watch commander.
Sergeant Moberly is a seven year veteran of the MLPD. Prior to joining the MLPD, he spent one year with the San Diego Police Department and before becoming a pólice officer, he worked for Cal-Trans for 10 years as an engineer, including time as a supervisor.
Sergeant Moberly was raised in Ventura and Bishop. He is married with two children.
