How about we ask Mr. Cook’s office to tackle a local issue, one that he should be able to address as opposed to national politics.
That is the issue of gas prices at our local gas stations. When I moved here 20 plus years ago, gas was typically 8 cents per gallon more than gas down in the LA metro areas and bakersfield.
That made sense, to cover the extra cost of getting the gas up here. I was in Bakersfield the other day…gas prices ranged from $2.49 to 2.99 per gallon. I got back to Bishop that same day and checked gas prices…the low was $3.49!
So the 8 cents per gallon cost to get the gas up here is now a $1.00! Which we know is not truly reflective of the cost, so its PRICE GOUGING and COLLUSION! We need our elected officials to bring this to the attention of whatever govt. agency is suppose to make sure collusion and price gouging doesn’t happen.
Come on Mr. Cook, help us out here. or, if we look at your campaign donor list, are we going to see the names of the gas station owners there???
With all that money, you would think Trump could afford a hat.
Charles O. Jones….Donald Trump has (or should I say HAD ) no intention or wanting to be President of the United States…if he does (did),he wouldn’t have said and did all the stupid, dumb things he’s done….and still doing. All he did was make a mockery, and make America the laughing-stock of the World (and the GOP party to Americans), by trying to turn it into one of those phony, scripted reality-shows that he owns and stars in….not how our fore-fathers invisioned it to be.He is (was) the angry old GOP man’s choice to run when he “told it like it is”…best quote I heard about that was someone stating “I have a drunk uncle that “tells it like it is,but that doesn’t qualify him to be President”…The mentioned angry, old Republican men had someone to “puppy-dog follow”, able to make them angry-er-er about everything in life here in America, but at the same time ,even angry-er-er-er KNOWING this racist clown was,and is un-electable…which has all but destroyed the Republican party for years to come, unfairly making all of them look like clowns and racist-fools…another good quote about that for the Republican party…”the chickens have come home to roost”…you think they are angry now…wait untill November 2016 and see how angry they are going to be.
Racist Fools, Uhhh OK .
Wayne Seems a little angry with Mr Trump !
Could it be the fact that Donald Trump has struck a nerve with the Silent Majority of American Citizens who are sick and tired of the lack of enforcement of immigration laws that are on the books but very rarely prosecuted.
During the last 25 years thousands of American Citizens have paid the ultimate price of these liberal (SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT) Mandates with their lives.
Such as the Kathryn Steinle murder in San Francisco a few months ago .
Or the murder of Jamiel Shaw several years ago by Illegal Alien gang member Pedro Espinoza .
Jamiel Shaw Sr is a Trump Supporter and has found support and sympathy from Mr Trump that has helped him through the pain of losing his son .
I would ask you Wayne . Is Mr Shaw also a Racist ? He is an African American .
PS , And if Mr Trump was in favor of a Blanket Amnesty for all Undocumented Illegal aliens i dare say that you would be one of his most loyal supporters .
Right Wayne . lol
Wrong,Gary Trotman…wouldn’t support that fool no matter what his stance was on illegal immigration…thing about it is,he’s against anytype of immigration, especially those coming from Mexico…like his latest “rally” showed, when his “supporters” phisically attempted to bar Hispanic protesters from entering ,chanting “U.S.A.,U.S.A.,U.S.A ”…funny how it is for those against illegal immigration…against it untill it somehow benifits THEM,able to pay lower wages if they are a business-owner,or someone to do THEIR odd-jobs our lazy U.S. citizens don’t want to do unless they get paid $20.00 an hour to do …and even then, doing a lousy job doing it in most cases. And let’s remember when yours and my ancestors immigrated to this Country many years ago, they didn’t have to pay thousands of dollars to do so,and jump through all the hoops they have to do now…and back then,no such opposition to the “anchor-baby” thing like Trump likes to bring up now to his angry, old followers.Am I angry at Trump ?….far from the truth.I’m enjoying his “run” to the White House…and his attempt to “make America great again “….it’s like watching SNL 24/7….cause you know and I know…..and everyone else knows, weather they support him or not, there is NO WAY he will be voted in…..and very little chance he’ll even end up being the GOP nomination….granted, there are a LOT of angry old guys that want him there, building that “great, great wall”,going to war with China and Mexico and the middle-east Countries, kicking 11 million plus people, men, women and kids, out of the U.S…..but there’s not enough of those angry people to get him elected…and for most, just the way they want it…giving them more to bitch about for the next 8 years…I WANT Trump to continue to lead the polls….it will be a sad day for me if he drops out or is over-taken by Carson or any of the other GOP clowns.I’m enjoying this, even if it is at the expense of making our Country the laughing-stock of the World.
I didn’t think there were any republicans left ?Except for Trump.
And Trump’s only a Republican when it suits his agenda.
I don’t care if he’s Republican or Democrat. As long as he builds the wall he has my support.
It baffles me that a party that glorifys Reagan’s ” tear down this wall” speech, is so high on building one for themself?
There’s more!
Big Difference between a Wall that keeps the people in , Such as the Former Soviet Union and North Korea .
And a wall that Keeps Non-Citizens and Terrorists and Armies out , Like the Great wall of China , Or the wall that Trump wants to build due to the fact that so many tend to have no respect for our BORDER.
A wall isn’t the answer John. There has been a wall on much of the border for decades now. The wall has done very little to curb illegal immigration. Immigrants have been smuggled through or tunneled under the wall for years. A newer, bigger and more expensive wall will not make an appreciable difference.
Immigrants come here for jobs. As long as there are an abundance of illegal employers willing to hire them they will continue to come, by what ever means necessary. So building a BIG BEAUTIFUL WALL is nothing more than a bandaid and a campaign slogan. It won’t address the root cause.
We need to end sanctuary city status too.
The hiring of illegals is exactly why I boycott everything within TOML.
You are clueless about your fellow citizens my friend. Rather like the Manhattanite who expressed surprise when a Republican won the Presidency because “no one I know is a Republican”.
Let me shed a little light into your dark bubble. More Californians voted for Romney in 2012 than did Texans. Throw away your ostrich pillow.
