RACE TO ERASE MS TO HOST MS FORUM AND EXPO; EVENT BRINGS TOGETHER PROMINENT SCIENTISTS TO DISCUSS LATEST ADVANCEMENTS IN TREATMENTS FOR THE NEURODEGENRATIVE DISEASE

WHAT: Race to Erase MS, a nonprofit dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis, will host its annual MS Forum and Expo on Saturday, June 3,2023. This free event brings together leading scientists who are at the forefront of multiple sclerosis research to discuss the latest advancements in treatment, including those from UCLA, USC, Yale, Harvard, JHU, and Cedars Sinai.

Topics scheduled for discussion include:

Epstein-Barr Virus and MS
MS Treatment in Underrepresented Populations
Personalizing Approaches to MS
Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare

The event will also showcase important MS research updates, including:

New and existing MS drugs
Restoration, repair, and rehabilitation
Aging with MS
Blood biomarkers in MS

In addition to participating scientists, Race to Erase MS Founder and President Nancy Davis is available for an interview. At 33 years old, Nancy was diagnosed with MS and given a devastating prognosis – that in a few years, she’d lose nearly all mobility and would be lucky to use a remote control. A mother to three young children, Nancy refused to accept that fate. After learning treatments were far and few between, she launched Race to Erase MS.

Celebrating its 30^th anniversary this June, the organization has raised over $50 million and helped bring over 20 FDA-approved therapies to the market, thanks to its Center Without Walls program, where renowned scientists in neurology, including Yale, UCLA, Harvard, Cedars-Sinai, are leading innovative research to ultimately find a cure for MS. Nancy has also garnered the support of Hollywood, with names like Tommy Hilfiger, Rod Stewart, Elton John and MS patients Christina Applegate, Selma Blair and Jamie-Lynn Siegler all aligned with the organization.
