Private Tours of Bodie and Mono Lake are being offered this summer by the Bodie Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the preservation, interpretation, and public enjoyment of Bodie State Historic Park, Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve, and Grover Hot Springs State Park.

Bodie Foundation offers two-hour walking tours of the town and stamp mill, a driving tour of the mining district and a two-hour tour at Mono Lake about those who lived alongside the lake over the years.

To reserve a private tour, contact [email protected].  Reservations need to be
made at least two weeks before the date of your tour.

Bodie State Historic Park’s staff also offer daily tours through Labor Day Weekend:. These include free History Talks and Stamp Mill Tours. Inquire at the museum about tickets and tour times upon arrival in the park or call 760-616-5040.

And mark your calendar for Friends of Bodie Day on August 13, 2022. The theme for this year’s festivities is “Winter In August,” and will include a look at winter events and holidays from Bodie’s past. There will be daytime crafts, music, and other events during the day. Bodie Foundation members enjoy dinner in the park and after-hours entertainment.
