Postponement in Rossy trial

Due to a family health emergency, today’s decision in the Dawndee Rossy embezzlement trial by appointed Judge Philip Argento has been postponed, according to Inyo County District Attorney Tom Hardy.

The ruling has been re-scheduled to August 15 at the Independence Courthouse.

Rossy was charged with multiple counts in April 2013; the primary charge is the embezzlement of $1.5 million from the County’s Department of Health and Human Services.

The trial began in February

Another delay is outrageous! A “family emergency” of any magnitude does not warrant a continuance. This woman has worked the system from the start. The citizens of Inyo Coiunty should be furious. She STOLE 1.6 Million plus dollars from the county over 3 years ago, and is still free. She has managed to go through several lawyers and it has been one continuance over another, one motion, another motion and etc. etc. As a citizen I am very disgusted! I look forward to seeing her in handcuffs at her next hearing.

Lakeside, her family is part of our legal system. This case should have been moved out of Inyo county.

seriously dude, I don’t think it was her family emergency. Maybe the Judge’s family or one of the attorney’s involved.

DISGUST to me is those who want to see her in jail. When the prosecutor after all this time, has not been able to SHOW OR PROVE THAT SHE IS GUILTY OF THE CHARGES BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. What he has shown is they will drag a case on and on hopping the accused will take a deal SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING. THE PROSECUTION HAS NOT FULFILLED THE BURDEN OF PROOF BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. Not by any means. You know the reason we Americans are Thankful to be living where we have DEMOCRACY. Or is that another one of our Rights some are willing to disregard as no big deal………

The Rossy trial was dismissed today as there was no one left alive to remember why there was supposed to be a trial in the first place.

Since there was no evidence of at least 1.2 million and EVIDENCE of alleged monies taken while she was not at work, I would say that this case was not proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

So yeah I’d take that bet @ 10/1

Rick O’Brien…..and 20 to 1 she gets it….it will be months before she sees a jail cell…..if at all.

18 more days of freedom… 18 days to get her affairs in order. 10 to 1 , she asks for a delay in sentencing to do what she should be doing right now.
