Postponement in Rossy trial

Due to a family health emergency, today’s decision in the Dawndee Rossy embezzlement trial by appointed Judge Philip Argento has been postponed, according to Inyo County District Attorney Tom Hardy.

The ruling has been re-scheduled to August 15 at the Independence Courthouse.

Rossy was charged with multiple counts in April 2013; the primary charge is the embezzlement of $1.5 million from the County’s Department of Health and Human Services.

The trial began in February

Another delay is outrageous! A “family emergency” of any magnitude does not warrant a continuance. This woman has worked the system from the start. The citizens of Inyo Coiunty should be furious. She STOLE 1.6 Million plus dollars from the county over 3 years ago, and is still free. She… Read more »

Lakeside, her family is part of our legal system. This case should have been moved out of Inyo county.

HEADLINE July 28, 2116
The Rossy trial was dismissed today as there was no one left alive to remember why there was supposed to be a trial in the first place.

Since there was no evidence of at least 1.2 million and EVIDENCE of alleged monies taken while she was not at work, I would say that this case was not proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

So yeah I’d take that bet @ 10/1

18 more days of freedom… 18 days to get her affairs in order. 10 to 1 , she asks for a delay in sentencing to do what she should be doing right now.
