The deadline to run for local offices is this Friday. With three days left, only one new name has appeared on the local election scene, though other candidates have made their run official.

In Mammoth, Town Clerk Anita Hatter reports that Deb Pierrel has taken out papers to run for Town Council. If everyone who has pulled papers ends up running, now 7 people seek two seats on the Mammoth Town Council. Council member Kirk Stapp, Tony Barrett, and Jo Bacon have officially filed. Don McPherson, Chris Tolley, and Mayor Skip Harvey have all taken out papers to run.

In Mono County, Supervisors Hap Hazard and Viki Bauer have officially filed. Dorothy Burdette has officially filed to run against Viki Bauer in District 3. Joseph Conti has taken out papers to run against Hap Hazard in District 2. In District 4 Bill Reid has taken out papers to seek another term. So far no one else has taken out papers to run in the northern district.

In Inyo County the only change so far is that Ted Gardner has officially filed to run for supervisor against incumbent Susan Cash in District 2. Marty Fortney and Butch Hambleton are officially running in District 4.
Richard Cervantes, Bill Wenzel, and Michael Dorame have officially filed to run for re-election in district 5.
