Should not quite hit the Owens Valley but if you plan on traveling a little east you may run into some thunderstorm activity.

Waves of showers with isolated thunderstorms will move across the area through this afternoon, generally along I-15 and drifting northward. Strong wind gusts and lightning are the primary expectations with these storms, with substantial rainfall (unfortunately) not expected. Storms will diminish and move east through this evening
