The Wind Advisory for the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley has been upgraded to a High Wind Warning effective immediately.

Key Points:

• Gusty downslope winds will impact Highway 395 beginning later this afternoon.
• For the northern half of the Owens Valley (north of Lone Pine), downslope winds will be possible from 3:00 pm this afternoon through 11:00 pm this evening.
• For the southern half of the Owens Valley, downslope winds will be possible from 3:00 pm this afternoon through 5:00 am tomorrow morning.
