Gusty Winds Wednesday
“The National Weather Service Las Vegas (NWS Las Vegas) is projecting a notable wind event across the Owens Valley region on Wednesday, November 5. While not flagged as a full-blown severe wind warning, the forecast indicates heightened risk for wind-driven impacts, especially in down-slope corridors and valley passages,” writes Jason Brown. KEY POINTS
- A passing system will bring widespread southwest winds of 20-35 mph on Wednesday.
- Localized downslope winds in excess of 40 mph are possible in the Owens Valley and from Indian Springs toAmargosa Valley.
