​📰 Notice of Public Hearing for Discussion of Possible State CDBG Applications

​NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Mono will conduct a public hearing no earlier than 9:00 AM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, (the Mono Lake Room (1st floor) at the Mono County Civic Center, 1290 Tavern Road, Mammoth Lakes. Due to the meeting will be accessible virtually by Zoom at https://monocounty.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_bqvkJY02QASfRK5nbM_2tA or in-person, to discuss possible applications for funding under the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2025 Notice of Funding Availability, and to gather residents’ ideas for possible activities to be included in the application.

​The County anticipates submitting an application during this funding application cycle. The County has or anticipates receiving approximately $1,500,000 in CDBG Program income.

​The purpose of this hearing is to review eligible CDBG program activities and solicit public input on the County’s housing and community development needs (which includes services, facilities, and/or infrastructure that will improve livability within the community for inclusion in a possible 2025 State CDBG Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) application.

​The following information related to the project is available at 1290 Tavern Road Mammoth Lakes CA 93546 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (excluding County-recognized holidays) or by emailing the contact listed below:

​A. Amount of funds available and range of activities that may be undertaken.

B. Information on proposed project(s), if any.

C. Estimated amounts proposed for activities benefiting low- and moderate-income persons.

D. Plans for minimizing displacement of persons as a result of activities associated with CDBG funds and plans for providing assistance to persons displaced as a result of CDBG-funded activities.

E. Records regarding the past use of CDBG funds.
