Press release
Mono County Office of Education is pleased to share the results of the Mono County Elementary and Middle School Spelling Bee held on March 15, 2016 at Lee Vining Elementary School. Tammy Nguyen, Director of Curriculum & Instruction gave 1st and 2nd place ribbons for each division, Elementary and Junior High, and participation certificates for all.
In the final round the last two competitors battle head to head. If one student misspells a word, the other must correctly spell the missed word and correctly spell the next word to win. The top two placeholders in each division qualify to participate at the State Competitions in April & May. Congratulations to all four of these students!
