IN EARLY COUNT, SOUTHERN INYO HEALTHCARE DISTRICT’S MEASURE J SHORT OF GOAL
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, the Southern Inyo Healthcare District’s Measure J had fallen short of the required two-thirds, plus one, vote count.
With 918 votes counted, 494 were yes votes, 424, no.
There were no additional updates early into this morning.

I don’t really understand these “measures” put on the ballots,but how it was explained to me,it seems a special tax for us to pay for some type of “bail-out” or to pay for bankruptcy proceedings brought on by the hospital…if that’s the case,I’m glad it was voted down…just because our president uses bankruptcies as often as he changes his underware to avoid paying wages, bills and debts,maybe the voting public is tired of seeing it being done.
