Let people make their own choices on what is best for them. If you are afraid then double mask your self and keep away from crowds etc and let others move on with their freedom of choice to not wear a mask and breathe in fresh air and stop penalize people who don’t agree with you.

Stop penalize? Did you perhaps mean stop penalizing? Should we also stop penalizing people for driving over the speed limit while we’re at it?
And maybe stop fining people for failing to put their children’s seat belts on in cars? While we’re at it, take away those double spaced handicap parking spaces. Maybe disabled people, along with immunocompromised people. Should just stay home instead of inconveniencing others. When did “rightsism” become the religion of the American right? My Dad was a WW 2 Marine hero, but sometimes I’m glad he didn’t have to witness the devolution of what Americans consider “rights”.

The rights to freedoms must always be weighed in relationship to the responsibilities to our fellow humans. The right to run around naked ends on the inside side of your front door . The right to drive over the speed limit ends where your private property ends and public roads begin. The right to violate public health standards also ends where public space begins. Basic High School Civics. Is that not still required for graduation???

Hey, Chance, here’s your big chance to move to Texas, or Florida, like you’ve been wanting to.

With 12 new cases over this past Labor Day weekend in Inyo County, reported today to the Inyo County BoS it might have been better for a mandatory mask mandate in public indoor spaces for the near future . Sadly it might be expected that the Tri County Fair is going to contribute to non vaxed infections with only 69 % of Inyo fully vaxed . We are talking kids under 12 and immune compromised people who are not vaxed who could benefit from a simple thing like wearing a mask in the grocery store or any other indoor public space. This is a simple effective mitigation measure, something that each of us can do for others, a life of someone dear that could be saved.

Of course it’s a good idea. Duh. How about a mandate please for the fools who will only say “they didn’t say I HAD to!” And for the businesses who are afraid to establish a policy on the basis of a ‘mere recommendation’. Can we get some teeth into the public health press releases someday soon?
