It would be nice if they would stay in the communities they were helping. Spending money in these communities would be nice. Nope, they are staying in Topaz…
I remember talking to some of the crew who were repairing the Walker Canyon in 1997. They stayed in Walker and Topaz – many of them having to drive around through Sweetwater – because Bridgeport lodging was price gouging.
WE NEVER price gouge!! That is a blatant lie and you should be embarrassed. I have been in lodging since 1972, and we have NEVER done that. And I know other motel owners and they have NEVER done that.
