MAMMOTH LAKES TOURISM ADDS TWO NEW POSITIONS TO THE MARKETING TEAM

Community members Laura Wattles and Sarah Walsh join the Mammoth Lakes Tourism marketing team as the Content Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator, respectively.

Mammoth Lakes, Calif. (June 26, 2024): Mammoth Lakes Tourism (MLT) welcomes two new positions to the marketing team: Laura Wattles as Content Marketing Manager and Sarah Walsh as Marketing Coordinator. These two new positions will support the marketing team’s growing responsibilities and community engagement efforts.

Laura Wattles has lived in the Sierra Nevada for over a decade, working in hospitality and tourism. She has created and run a small “glamping” business, served as Communications Manager for the Yosemite Mariposa County Tourism Bureau, designed for and managed a youth focused screen printing nonprofit, and was the first ever Executive Director for the Yosemite Climbing Association. Most recently, she worked locally with the Ridge Merino team, as well as the incredible Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserves.

Sarah Walsh joins the team as a long-term resident of the Eastern Sierra with a background as a local small business owner and community advocate. She played a key role in establishing the Eastern Sierra Spirit and Ale Trail, in collaboration with Mono County Tourism, to promote local breweries and distilleries.

“Expanding our marketing team to include a content marketing manager and marketing coordinator is vital for telling our destination’s story,” says Sarah Winters, Mammoth Lakes Tourism Director of Marketing. “Their expertise will help us create compelling content that resonates with both tourists and our local community.”
