What about Bishop, Rovana and Pinecreek bear activity. Pinecreek pack station has been broken into twice. Major damage to buildings and contents. Still bear activity in area as of this date.

Krad The reason for that,if MLPD or BPD “announce” where Bear sightings are that are out of the TOML,within days ,if locations of the incidents are published,there would be a shot-up dead Black Bear on site.. Krad, Mammoth Lakes police department has started putting out these bear beat press releases to show that someone from their department responds to bear calls after the fact. Yep,and what you say that was directed at me… I can see it now… Bulletins and “warnings ” to “evacuate ” or “shelter in place ” if and when there’s a Bear or Mountain Lion sighting or problem in a neighborhood. Kinda like what I heard today on the news,for… Read more »

Or Dennis, a lot of us regular people who believe in and practice common sense can simply take some extra precautions if we know a bear is frequenting a residential area. Simple things like bringing in pet food and bird feeders at night. Putting trash cans in our garage or… Read more »
