There’s a lot happening around town, and this month’s Community Coffee is your chance to hear about it firsthand. This Thursday, June 25, at 8:30am, the Town of Mammoth Lakes will share updates on several major projects, including the Minaret Multi-Use Path, the Dave & Roma McCoy Arts & Cultural Center, and the new Town Civic Center. Plus, get updates from the Chamber and Mammoth Lakes Tourism—and enjoy a free coffee or tea from Stellar Brew, our coffee shop of the month, after the session. >>> Click here for the Zoom link

Watching the parade is fun. Being in it is even better. Gather your crew and be part of Mammoth’s 4th of July Parade as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Entries don’t need to be elaborate to take part, and thanks to Float Competition Sponsor High Country Lumber, there’s $500 for Best Float, plus great cash prizes for second and third place. Float registration closes this Friday, June 26. >>> Click here to register

We know many locals have their 4th of July routine down pat, but this year’s parade traffic plan is different. Main Street will close from 9am until approximately 1pm, with enhanced road closures and detours in place before and during the parade. These changes are designed to improve safety during the busy pre-parade hours—please help spread the word.

While hantavirus is rare, it remains a concern in the Eastern Sierra. Before tackling your next cleanup project, take a few minutes to review the guidance—and help spread awareness, not hantavirus. >>> Click here for English. >>> Click here for Spanish
