Mammoth Hospital lighted sign 1

A reminder to continue to wear facemasks at Mammoth Hospital and other healthcare facilities.

A Message on Facemask Requirements from Mammoth Hospital: Everyone should continue to wear mask at the hospital until told otherwise!

Mammoth Hospital is excited, along with everyone else, about the new state guidelines eliminating the use of masking indoors and outdoors for most businesses and activities, saying that they think it is great news that it shows that we are getting the upper hand on the pandemic and can relax state guidelines.

BUT…they also want to remind the public that the new guidelines for California “Moving Beyond the Blueprint” does not include healthcare settings. On top of state guidance, the CDC has still NOT removed its recommendation regarding masking in hospitals. What that means, says the hospital, is that we all need to continue to mask while we are in any Mammoth Hospital building or clinic, and that this includes staff, patients, and visitors. When masking guidelines change for hospital settings, they promise to let us all know.

In the meantime, Mammoth Hospital thanks you for continuing to follow California rules as well as CDC guidelines by wearing a mask when visiting our facility for the safety of our staff, patients, and visitors.
