This came from Referee Reuben Gomez, Jr. He wrote this about Mammoth’s softball team after our exciting 17-14 WIN over Desert HS:
Kelly, I just want to express my gratitude and pleasure for doing your guys softball program.
If it was up to me I would give your coaches and players SPORTSMANSHIP of the year. Your
coaches and players are the most positive and uplifting and respectful team I have done all year and I do many schools throughout southern california. Never a negative word come from any of them, no matter if they are winning by a lot or if they are losing by a lot. Yours girls give their all everytime i officiate their games.
Always greet me with a smile and will always thank me after the game. Nicole, what a team player and team leader she gives her all and no matter what happens always encourages the other girl and never has a bad thing to say about anyone.
Just wanted to let you know what a great softball program you have. Your softball Program Honors your School and the coaches and their parents, with the respect and sportsmanship they have been taught. Again What a great Program you have going. You got my vote for SPORTSMANSHIP OF THE YEAR.
It is alway a pleasure to do your games. Please let your team know I say Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This day and age it is hard to find outstanding teams and program like you all have and run.
