Press release
Tickets for the upcoming production of the much-loved musical “Mamma Mia!” will be going on sale Saturday, March 16. “Mamma Mia!” is being presented by Playhouse 395 which has delighted audiences with such amazing shows such as Chicago, Mary Poppins, South Pacific, Hello Dolly and most recently the small theater production of The Doyle and Debbie Show.
Complete with huge song and dance numbers, “Mamma Mia!” tells the story of young Sophie (played by Abby Stoiber) who is engaged to be married, but first wants to try to find out which of three different men could possibly be the father she has never known. Unbeknownst to her feisty single mom Donna (played by Marianne Schat) she invites the three “potential Dads” to her wedding on the small Greek island of Kalokairi. This is the beginning of a rollicking, packed-with-adventure-and-fun story set to the wonderful songs of ABBA. It is described by many as the ultimate feel good show.
“Mamma Mia!” will run the last weekend in April and the first two weekends in May, with shows on Fridays, Saturdays and the first two Sundays, at the Bishop Union High School Theater. Ticket prices are $25 for Premium Reserved seats and $20 for General Admission seats. All tickets will be discounted by $5 on opening night, which is Friday April 26.
