LADWP Klondike Lake Closed for Boating

RECREATION UPDATES LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Klondike Lake Closes for the Season

Monday, September 4 will be the last day for public boating at Klondike Lake.  Thank you for recreating safely and responsibly at the lake. We will see all the boaters again next year when Klondike opens for Memorial Day Weekend (weather permitting).

Recreational Advisory at Crowley Lake and Pleasant Valley Reservoir in Effect Due to Potentially Harmful Algal Blooms

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) issued a recreational advisory for anglers and recreational users to exercise caution in localized areas. During a field investigation, SWRCB staff observed visual signs of potential Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) in Crowley Lake and Pleasant Valley Reservoir. Localized areas of Crowley were tested to confirm that the lake is being impacted by HABs. The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) is urging anglers and recreational users to exercise extra precautions at Crowley Lake.

LADWP continues to work directly with the SWRCB and posted signage in all affected areas to alert lake users of the elevated risk.
