I could easily imagine a handful of local contractors who would’ve grabbed this contract in a heartbeat. What’s with the two-faced “Shop Local” message? Could’ve put gifts under the tree, OR, even bought groceries and an undecorated tree!!
$15,000 to hang lights, wow, that doesn’t seem too bright !
Out sourcing jobs is the ultimate insult to locals who are scrambling to make ends meet right now. I can think of many locals who would have done a great job for a fraction of $15,000. Are there some things in the future locals can do to earn some of this money, rather than send it elsewhere?
