Please join your friends from INYO350 and 350 Mono for their Inaugural “Adopt-A-Highway” cleanup on Saturday, June 26 at 9:00 in the morning. INYO350 has partnered to adopt a two-mile stretch of the northbound lanes of Highway 395 about halfway up the Sherwin Grade.
The group will meet at a dirt pullout/road on the righthand side of the northbound lanes, 0.8 mile north of the Mono County line (or half mile north of the big Mono County Welcome sign). If coming from the north, you’ll need to drop to the bottom of the grade, then turn around at Owens Gorge Road and go two miles north to the pull-out. After a picture with our new sign, we’ll split up and shuttle depending on how many volunteers join.
For your safety, please wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, a hat, and sun-protection, and bring a refillable water bottle. Safety vests and garbage bags will be provided onsite.
Please RSVP to Marty Hornick at [email protected] so we have an idea of how many folks to expect. But don’t let the RSVP stop you. Come if you can and bring a friend! As always, more volunteers make for a quick and fun effort! Questions? Email Marty.
