BISHOP, Calif. – The Inyo National Forest is accepting applications on USAJobs for permanent, full-time and seasonal wildland firefighters from August 26 to September 16, as part of the Pacific Southwest Region’s centralized Fall Permanent Fire Hire event.

Wildland firefighters respond to fires and disasters nationwide, operating specialized equipment in dynamic and complex environments, requiring a high level of fitness and commitment to safety.
