Inyo County Health & Human Services’ Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is hosting a public information session on Medicare from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 5 at Bishop Senior Center, 682 Spruce St., Bishop. A panel of healthcare, legal, and insurance experts will be on hand to provide coverage insights, answer questions about navigating the social program, and report on Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage Plans and the Medicare appeal process.

Lunch, from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m., will be sponsored by the Bishop Care Center. Seating is limited, so please RSVP by calling (760) 872-4128.

Panelist presentations will take place from 12-1 p.m., followed by the Q&A session from 1-1:30 p.m.

Residents in the southern portions of Inyo County who would like to attend do not have to travel to Bishop. The Lone Pine and Tecopa senior centers will have the session running via Zoom and staff will be on hand to help attendees pose their questions to the panelists.
