Robert “Bob” Lee Ross 1940 – 2020

In loving memory of Robert “Bob” Lee Ross, who died on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Gardnerville, Nevada. He was 80 years old. Bob was born on August 14, 1940 in West Ossipee, New Hampshire to Ernest and Mary Ross.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Emeleze; his three children- Mark, Melody and Monte; his four grandchildren- Shanna, Clayton, Jessica and Elliott; and his six great-grandchildren- Felix, Nicolas, Bria, Dade, Cash and Maverick.

At the age of 16 Bob hitchhiked across the country to create a life in California. From humble beginnings and a strong propensity for hard work and perseverance, Bob created a prosperous roofing business in Mammoth Lakes. He went on to establish and own Mammoth Building Materials, Sierra Custom Door and found further success in other investment properties across several states. He was truly a self-made man and worked hard to create a good life for his family.

Bob had a legendary fighting spirit and always stood up for what he thought was right. Equally matched was his big heart as he held great love for his family, friends, and of course his beloved pets. He had deep compassion for those in need and helped so many along the way. Bob delighted in conversation, the telling of a good story, traveling, and dining with his wife. He lived a full and accomplished life and will be missed by many. We honor his spirit and all he worked so hard for. May he rest in the peace of God’s great love.

Due to the current unprecedented circumstances, there will not be a service for Bob Ross. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
