32 year old South Lake Tahoe man arrested for DUI and Hit and Run.

mlpd_3-23-102.jpg On Sunday November 10th at about 3:45 pm, Mammoth Lakes Police Officers were dispatched to Minaret Road near the Mammoth Scenic Loop for a report of a non-injury traffic collision.  Officers found a full size pickup truck with fresh collision damage, two flat tires and a damaged road sign at that location.  Officers discovered that the driver, 32 year old Brian Bogdanoff of South Lake Tahoe, had fled the scene of the accident.  MLPD Officers were able to later locate Bogdanoff at the Forest Service Compound in Mammoth Lakes.  Bogdanoff told Officers several different versions of what had occurred and claimed that he had called law enforcement to the scene of the accident. It was determined that Bogdanoff had been drinking prior to the accident and had not called law enforcement to the scene or left a note.  Bogdanoff attempted to have his truck towed away from the scene after he had fled. When contacted by MLPD Officers at 5:15 pm, Bogdanoff’s Blood Alcohol level was .21%. Bogdanoff was subsequently arrested and transported to the Mono County Jail on charges of DUI and Hit and Run. Bogdanoff was released from jail on his own recognizance and cited to appear in the Mono County Superior Court.
