I’m very glad to see that you’ve come into a sizable amount of money. Please don’t let people treat you differently (and worse) simply because they know you have “won the lottery”, so to speak. The winnings are yours and yours alone and you have no obligation to give anyone any amount of money because of your good fortune. Many people have interpersonal relationships sour after this kind of a winning. I hope you are not one of them.
Be wise, prudent, and conservative in the way you spend and save this money. $771k might seem like a huge amount but after the tax man is done with the winnings you’ll have about 500k.
