Poetry Contest!

This April Spellbinder Books will be hosting its second annual Poetry Contest for Inyo and Mono residents (ages 5 & up). The bookstore is accepting poetry submissions in five different formats: couplet, haiku/senryu, quatrain, lyrics, and free verse. Each contestant can submit one poem per form, so each contestant can submit up to five poems. Poems must be turned in to the bookstore during store hours with participant’s name, age category (elementary school, middle school, high school, or adult), and telephone number, written clearly at the top of the paper by April 30th, 5 pm.  Winners will be chosen from each age category and announced at a Poetry Jam Party on Saturday, May 19 th at 5 pm, open to all contestants!
