Funding options available for small businesses – Eastern Sierra Capital Summit June 12
Local entrepreneurs looking for money to grow or start their business will have access to dozens of funding options at the free Eastern Sierra Capital Summit in Bishop on Thursday, June 12 from 8 a.m. until noon.
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by presenters in a “reverse shark tank” format where lenders and assistance providers will detail loans, investment capital and grants. Topics will include SBA loan programs up to $10 million or more, small micro business loans from $5,000 to $50,000, investment and capital-based programs such as venture capital, crowdfunding, and more.
The first capital summit was held in Mammoth Lakes in 2017. According to Bearden, the SBDC has helped Eastern Sierra business owners obtain tens of millions of dollars in funding over the last eight years.
“The summit is a great opportunity to meet with lenders and other business funding experts throughout California,” notes Bearden. “Business owners looking for options to fund a new business, or to grow, expand, or transition an existing business will find something. The programs discussed will range from conventional business lending to innovative and creative suggestions to fund any business.”
Co-sponsored by AltaOne Credit Union and the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield, the event will take place at the Eastern Sierra Business Resource Center, located at 269 N. Main St. in Bishop.
Attendees will be able to meet with presenters and lenders for individual questions. Seating is limited. Register at https://tinyurl.com/ESCS-2025 for the event.
