This Saturday, June 17 marks our summer kickoff event at the Whitmore Pool and the start of public swim for the season! Celebrations on Saturday include FREE swimming from 12:00-4:00 pm with BBQ and concessions available for sale.

The Whitmore Pool is an outdoor facility located on Benton Crossing Road, nine miles south of Mammoth Lakes off US HWY 395. This six-lane, outdoor 25 meter pool also includes a children’s wading pool, hot showers, changing rooms, shade and picnic area, snacks & beverages and complimentary Wi-Fi.


The Whitmore Pool will be open 7-days a week from Saturday, June 17 with public swimming offered MondayFriday from 12:30-3:30pm and from 12:00-4:00pm on weekends. Join us for midweek lap swim, swim lessons (beginsJune 19), and don’t miss our Stroke Improvement Class with Coach Sam every Thursday at 5:30pm. Registration is also available at the pool for the ‘World’s Largest Swim Lesson’ on Thursday, June 22.


NEW Loyalty Card Program – Participate in our new loyalty program and your 6th visit is FREE! This pass is redeemable at the Whitmore Pool or the Mammoth Ice Rink – no expiration. Excludes season passes, 5 Swim Pass, rentals, concessions and showers.

NEW Whitmore 50 Challenge – The Whitmore 50 is a self-directed program intended to encourage swimmers to regularly exercise and track their progress. Participants enter swimming distances on a daily sign-out sheet that is managed and updated by staff. Total distances will be updated weekly and participants are recognized when they achieve 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles.

NEW FREE Swim Sundays – Join us at the pool for FREE Swim Sundays on opening day (June 17), Sunday, July 30 and Sunday, August 27, 2017.
