COVID-19 safety precautions are practiced at Inyo County Free Drive-through Flu Clinics

Inyo County Flu Vaccination Clinics: The Inyo County Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health and Prevention division continues to host drive through flu vaccination clinics.  The next clinic is scheduled for this Sunday, November 8th from 10am to 12pm in Lone Pine and 2pm to 4pm in Olancha. The Lone Pine clinic will be held at the Lone Pine Sports Complex (602 N Main St), and the Olancha clinic will be held at the Olancha Fire Department (689 Shop St). Both clinics will operate as drive through sites unless weather or smoke prohibits; in which case they will operate as indoor walk-up/walk-in sites at the Lone Pine Senior Center (138 Jackson St) and inside the Olancha Fire Department building. Please ensure that you comply with the following drive-up safety guidance:

    • Patients must remain in their vehicles
    • Children must remain restrained in car seats
    • Vehicle occupants must wear face covering or shield with drape at all times
    • Dogs or other animals should not accompany the patient

The Cormona Family of Big Pine, Calif., took the precaution and advantage of getting free flu shots.

And the following walk-in guidance:

  • Patients must maintain at least 6 foot distance from each other while waiting
  • Patients must wear face covering or shield with drape at all times

Additional clinics will be held in Tecopa, Shoshone, and Furnace Creek.
