A preliminary hearing in the embezzlement case of Delores Marsh will be heard this Thursday at 10 a.m. in Independence.
Following a complaint filed by Inyo Mono Body Shop and a year-long investigation by the Bishop Police Department, the case was forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General in April 2014. Marsh was arrested in February of this year and charged with five counts of grand theft (487 PC) and five counts of forgery (471 PC), altering entries in books and records. Marsh posted bail.
Inyo District Attorney Tom Hardy represented Marsh at the outset of the case, prior to being appointed DA. As a result, the case was referred to the state Attorney General offices in Los Angeles.
