In honor of Veterans Day this week, Thursday, November 11th, the Inyo National Forest has waived the daily use fee. Visit the South Tufa in the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area and Schulman Grove in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest.
It’s a chance for everyone to enjoy the wonder and rejuvenation of recreation on national forests and grasslands.

Friday is opening night of the Playhouse 395 Youth Theater Production, Beauty and the Beast at the Bishop High School Auditorium.
Performances are on Friday, November 12th and 19th at 7pm and Saturday, November 13th & 20th at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are from $6 to $15 depending on the date, time and seat location.

For the final fundraiser of the year, Round Valley Elementary School will hold a gear and clothing sale on Saturday, November 13th from 8am to 11:30am at the First United Methodist Church in Bishop. Equipment sells for under $25 and clothing items sell for $1. Clearance sale starts at 10am and you can fill a bag with clothing for just $2. Everything else is half price.
Celebrate the Big Winter Kick Off at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area this weekend, November 11th – 14th.
Thursday, November 11th at 8:30am it’s First Chair. At 11am it’s Opening Day Champagne Toast. There is live music at Main Lodge and top off the day at 9pm with the Winter Launch Party at Hyde 2.0.
Saturday, November 13th at 8pm in the Village at Mammoth it’s the Premier of
“Another Day in Paradise”, a snowboarding movie filmed on and around Mammoth Mountain.
At 9pm catch the concert with “The Sounds” at Canyon Lodge.
