Get your 2011 California Fishing License for the Trout Opener
– Log on to http://dfg.ca.gov/licensing
– Visit one of 30 authorized license agents in the area
– Go to the Bishop Chamber of Commerce
DFG will have mobile licensing terminals featuring the newly launched Automated License Data System (ALDS) at the Bishop Chamber of Commerce, from Thursday through Saturday.

The Bishop Chamber of Commerce and Bishopn Lions Club host the Rainbow Trout Festival at the Bishop City Park.
Saturday, April 30th
2 – 7pm
Bring your opening day catch to the park to judged for prizes and viewed by all. The festival is free and features a huge raffle, fish displays, information booths, live music and kids activities.

The 42nd Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage at the Manzanaar National Historic Site
Saturday, April 30th from 9am – 5pm
The public is invited to participate in a weekend of special activities during the Manzanar Committee’s 42nd Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage. This year visitors will be able to experience music, paintings, speeches, a film screening, a docent talk, and a public reception. All events are free.
