The Mono County Sheriffs Department reports a sizeable drug bust on the highway. Monday afternoon, Mono Deputies pulled over a vehicle in the Crestview area on 395 for reported vehicle code violations.

Officers report that during the investigation, deputies suspected that the driver may have been under the influence of a controlled substance. With further investigations Officers report that they found about one ounce of cocaine valued at about $600 and anabolic steroids which are also a controlled substance.

The driver, 26 year old Christopher Oden of South Lake Tahoe was arrested, officers say. Oden was also found to be transporting approximately 8 pounds of high quality marijuana, eight growing marijuana plants, and approximately 3 ounces of concentrated cannabis, according to the deputies.

The Mono County Narcotic Enforcement Team (MONET) was called to assist in the investigation and seized the marijuana that has a reported street value of $51,000, and the concentrated cannabis valued at $2,400.

Officers report that Christopher Oden was transported to the Mono County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance, cultivation of marijuana, possession of concentrated cannabis, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana for sales, and transportation of marijuana. Bail was set at $100,000.
